Talento Pathways supports candidates by facilitating applications to partner organisations. We are currently assisting with applications for a full-time Laboratory Technician role in Melbourne, VIC.

Responsibilities
You will become an integral member of our operations team whose duties will include:
- Calibrate and verify the accuracy of portable CMM arms and laser scanners from Hexagon
- Verify the accuracy of hand-held scanners from Creaform, and portable CMM arms from Faro
- Perform precision measurements using certified artifacts (e.g., ball bars, step gauges, length standards) to validate system accuracy
- Maintain calibration logs, traceability, and documentation in accordance with ISO 9001
- Conduct incoming inspections and diagnostic evaluations on equipment to determine service or repair needs
- Operate metrology software platforms (e.g., PolyWorks, PC-DMIS, Spatial Analyser, Creaform) for alignment, probing, and scanning verification tasks
- Ensure proper environmental conditions and artifact care to support accurate calibration
- Communicate findings, non-conformances, and recommendations clearly to QA and clients
- Assist in process improvements and quality system audits related to calibration and measurement systems
- Provide technical support to customers and field service teams regarding best practices in arm calibration and use
Successful candidates will possess:
